Michelle Hawkins

Researcher in Biology, University of York

I am a post-doctoral researcher interested in DNA replication across the three domains of life.

In 2009 I gained a Genetics PhD from The University of Nottingham for my research into various aspects of DNA replication and repair in the archaeon Haloferax volcanii. My first post-doctoral position was also at The University of Nottingham where I worked on replication origins in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. I am currently at The University of York studying replication and transcription conflicts in E. coli.
