Miguel Niño-Zarazúa

Miguel Niño-Zarazúa is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics, at SOAS University of London and a Non-Resident Senior Research Fellow at World Institute for Development Economics Research in Helsinki. His work focuses on welfare institutions in the Global South, poverty and inequality, tax policy, development aid, and political economy considerations of state capacity and the functioning and efficacy of governments. His most recent co-edited book, 'The Politics of Social Protection in Eastern and Southern Africa' is open access and published by Oxford University Press.
