Senior Economic Consultant, CSIRO

Mingji is a Senior Economic Consultant at CSIRO Futures, the strategic advisory arm of Australia’s national science agency. In this role, he applies an economic lens to influencing work that supports scientific research and emerging technologies as a driver of growth and well-being for society at large. With over five years of experience in applied economics, Mingji has drawn on a wide professional skillset, including economic modelling, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and policy evaluation and analysis, to advise both public and private sector clients.

Before CSIRO Futures, Mingji worked at Deloitte Access Economics, working primarily in education policy and reform. During his time there, he contributed to a diverse range of topics, such as schooling, cultural economics, regional development, and the economics of research activities.

Mingji holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science and International Relations, from the Australian National University.
