Mircea Trandafir

Associate Professor of Economics, University of Southern Denmark

Mircea Trandafir is an associate professor in the Department of Business and Economics at the University of Southern Denmark and a Research Fellow at IZA. Before joining SDU, he was a faculty member in the Department of Economics at Université de Sherbrooke. He received his B.A. in Finance and Banking from the Academy of Economic Studies (Bucharest, Romania) in 2000, his M.A. in Economics from Central European University (Budapest, Hungary) in 2002, and his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2009. His primary research interests are in applied microeconomics, particularly labor and health economics. He has taught graduate labor economics and econometrics, as well as various courses at the undergraduate level.
