Miriam Krenzinger

BA Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (1986), MA Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (1994), PhD in Social Service Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (2002). Specialised in criminal science and crime prevention, with experience in Brazil's prison system and deep research in the Maré favela in Rio de Janeiro, especially regarding alternative approaches to inclusion and safety for homeless crack users. Leader of the UFRJ research group on Violence Prevention, Access to Education and Human Rights and Coordinator of the Specialization Course in Public Security and Citizenship at the Law School of RENAESP, Justice Ministry.
