Mirriam Mkhize

Mirriam Mkhize is a clinical social worker and a Sue Struengmann Initiative research fellow at the Alan J. Flisher Centre for Public Mental Health at the University of Cape Town's Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health. Her present research focuses on adolescent mental health and well-being, as well as the co-adaptation and testing of the World Health Organization’s Early Adolescent Skills for Emotions (EASE) programme aimed at reducing depression and anxiety among young adolescents and their caregivers. She has expertise providing psychosocial support and counselling to children, adolescents, and adults in multiple settings throughout South Africa.
