Mitchell Scovell

PhD Candidate, James Cook University

Mitchell is a PhD candidate in psychology interested in risk perception, decision making and behaviour change. His current project investigates the psychological factors that influence cyclone mitigation behaviour. In particular, his research focuses on understanding the ways in which people perceive long-term cyclone risk and how they make decisions around installing structural upgrades.

He is also currently seeking participants for the last study of his PhD. The study involves filling out a short online survey. If you are interested in participating (or know of someone who might be) you can head to the study's Facebook page for more information: https://www.facebook.com/CyclonePerceptionStudy/.
