Dr Mobeen Hussain is an early career historian of the British Empire focusing on race, gender, and the colonial legacies of consumption, material cultures, and economic exploitation. She is working on her first book on race, colourism, and skin-lightening in colonial India based on her doctoral research. She is currently a postdoctoral research fellow working on Trinity College Dublin’s Colonial Legacies project.
