Mohammad Ferdosi (PhD)

My academic background is in Sociology, Economics and Political Science - the three main disciplines underpinning the study of Political Economy. I research and write about labor legislation, welfare policies and socio-economic outcomes in developed countries from a political economy perspective using qualitative and quantitative methods. I have authored more than 30 research publications and been the co-recipient of nearly 10 research grants. I serve the Inclusive Policy Lab of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization as a specialist on basic income pilots and policy responses in and beyond the COVID crisis. I am also a member of a panel of social policy academics and experts for the International Labour Organization.
