Assistant Professor of Digital Media and Social Communication, Lebanese American University

I have worked as a journalist and feature author for 15 years before entering into academia in 2013. Since then I have been a member of faculty at the Department of Communication Arts at the Lebanese American University, in Beirut Lebanon. My research focuses on the intersectional effects of digital infrastructures and datafication, focusing in particular on refugees, migrants and stateless populations in the Mediterranean and the Arab world.
