Musenze is a PhD fellow at Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR)- Makerere University undertaking a PhD in Social Studies. Before joining Makerere University in 2021 for his doctoral studies, Musenze from 2017 to 2018 was a teaching assistant at Kyambogo University with the Uganda National Institute of Special Education (UNISE). From 2018 to 2021, he joined Medical Research Council/Uganda Virus Research Institute and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as a Research Assistant.
Musenze’s work focuses on colonial studies, intersection between culture, politics, history but with an interdisciplinary emphasis, (blending culture, history, political economy and political studies).
