I am a PhD candidate at Michigan State University. My area of research includes risk communication, food marketing and science communication.
I study consumers' attitudes towards foods produced by new technologies such as genetically engineering. My main focus is how food labelling can influence consumers' attitudes and subsequent purchase decision. This focus includes developing food labelling and examining the effect of emotions on consumers' purchase decision.
I also study how to stir youth towards STEM related majors, which includes portraying the interpersonal warmth of scientists to change young people's stereotypical views about scientists.
