Natalia Romero Álvarez

I have published more than 50 research articles, most of them are found in scientific journals with international circulation indexed in JCR, in the fields of Applied Mathematics or Mathematics (h-index 15). I have presented more than 77 communications, most of them in international congresses as invited lectures. On the other hand, I have published 1 book and several book chapters. Regarding the direction of works, I have codirected 1 doctoral thesis and 1 DEA. Related to participation in research projects, I have participated as a collaborating researcher in 7 national projects, 7 regional projects and 14 projects at the University of La Rioja.
My participation in the organization of R&D activities can be summarized in the organization of 16 editions of the «Jornadas de Análisis Numérico y Aplicaciones» at the University of La Rioja and 1 special session in congresses. My collaboration in R&D management has been dedicated to acting as a reviewer in more than 50 international scientific journals.
In 2008 I received an Extraordinary Doctorate Award from the University of La Rioja for my doctoral thesis.
To conclude this brief summary of my merits in research, I would like to indicate that I have obtained 3 periods of 6 years on research work (sexenios) recognized by the CNEAI (2020).
Lines of research and relevant results:
-Iterative methods in Banach spaces.
-Solving nonlinear equations.
-Solving integral equations and boundary value problems by iterative processes.
-Convergence analysis of iterative methods.
-Nonlinear optimization.
-Combinatorial theory. New identities for Catalan numbers and binomial coefficients.
