Natalie Kallio

Natalie Kallio is a Professional Research Associate with the Canadian Centre for the Study of Co-operatives, managing and supporting co-operative-focused, community-engaged, multidisciplinary research—in the realms of healthcare, agriculture, social economy, governance, and more—as well as co-operative education, engagement, and promotion. She serves on the Board of the Association of Co-operative Educators and is very involved in the University of Saskatchewan's Communities and Sustainability signature area of research. She also managed innovative research projects at the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Unit (SPHERU) and coordinated USask's Learning Communities program, and holds undergraduate degrees in English (USask) and Education (OISE-UT) and a masters in Media Studies (Concordia). She is also actively engaged as a volunteer with youth-driven initiatives at EGADZ Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. and a lifelong advocate for the kind of community-based engagement that is at the heart of the co-operative movement.
