I am an Associate Professor at Carleton University and I currently hold the Canada Research Chair in Behavioural Neurobiology. My work has focused on the study of sex differences and astroglial cells in neuroplasticity and psychiatric/neurologic disease. My work spans from basic research studying the molecular mechanisms of psychiatric disease to translational work examining the predictive value of target molecules as therapeutic biomarkers in patients; I am also a licensed clinical psychologist and I have a small private practice in Ottawa, Canada.
