Natasha S. Vitek

Assistant Professor of Ecology and Evolution, Stony Brook University (The State University of New York)

Natasha Vitek is a paleontologist studying the evolutionary consequences of intraspecific variation in the fossil record. She works to understand how biological processes shape intraspecific spatial variation in traits that fossilize well, particularly tooth morphology. The goal of her research is to develop models of the morphological patterns that intraspecific processes leave behind.
