Associate Professor of Operations Management, Coggin College of Business, University of North Florida

Dr. Nathan Kunz is an Associate Professor of Operations Management in the Coggin College of Business. He holds a PhD in Management (Operations Management) from the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland and a Master of Science in International Business Development from the same university. His undergraduate degree was in Engineering (Automotive Technology).

Dr. Kunz joined UNF in Fall 2015, where he teaches courses in Operations Management, Management Science and Modeling at the undegraduate and graduate level. He is the Program Director of the Master of Science in Business Analytics. Before joining UNF, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at INSEAD, France. He also worked as lecturer at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) and the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Kunz worked as Deputy Director and Director of Operations at the Digger Foundation, a Swiss charity manufacturing humanitarian demining machines.

The research of Dr. Kunz focuses on humanitarian operations and sustainability. It has been published in journals such as the Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management Journal, California Management Review, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Industrial Ecology. He serves on the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Operations Management (JOM), the Production and Operations Management Journal (POM), the Decision Science Journal (DS) and the International Journal of Operations and Production Management (IJOPM). He is also member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Management (JHLSCM).
