Neill Fitzpatrick

Assistant Professor, Journalism & Communications, MacEwan University

I was a journalist for 30+ years at the local and national level in Canada before entering academia full time in 2016. I teach a variety of journalism courses and conduct research into media manipulation as well as news fatigue and news avoidance. My latest research is entitled: "No News is Not Good News: The Implications of News Fatigue and News Avoidance in a Pandemic World". It's scheduled to be published in an upcoming edition of the Athens Journal of Mass Media and Communications.
