Niamh Ni Shuilleabhain

PhD Researcher in the Department for Health, University of Bath

Niamh is in the first year of her PhD in the Department for Health at the University of Bath. Niamh is undertaking participatory research to address eating disorders and body disaffection in schools. She will be critically examining the pedagogy surrounding the body happening across the school environment and then co-creating initiatives with teachers and students to enact the change that they feel is necessary.

Prior to Bath, Niamh studied her BA (Hons) in Applied Psychology at University College Cork, Ireland. During her time there she received received the title of College Scholar for her results and the UCC Works Award for her involvement in, and contribution to, student life. She has been involved in two previous research projects on health behaviours and social media.
