Nicholas Ensley Mitchell is the assistant professor for curriculum studies at the University of Kansas. He is an alumnus of the Curriculum Theory Project at Louisiana State University. He is a former policy and research fellow for Race and Racism at the Jesuit Social Research Institute at Loyola University New Orleans. His scholarship focuses on the complex ways in which individuals learn and how knowledge, culture, and historical narratives are elevated into curriculum. His research interests include critical pedagogy, post-structural public policy analysis, critical race studies, creolization and borderland studies, multicultural education, African American philosophy, social justice studies, sexuality education, and intellectual history.
