Nicholas J. Long

A social, psychological and medical anthropologist, Nicholas J. Long is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the London School of Economics and Political Science. His work encompasses the study of Indonesia and the Malay World and broader questions of social and political theory. He is the author of 'Being Malay in Indonesia' and co-editor of 'Sociality: New Directions', 'The Social Life of Achievement' and 'The State We're In: Reflecting on Democracy's Troubles'. In 2019, he was awarded the Stirling Prize for the Best Published Work in Psychological Anthropology.
