Nicholas Okapu Etyang

Nicholas Etyang is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the East Africa Law Society, with over 12 years’ experience in democracy, governance, and human rights programming in East Africa. At APHRC he works on policy engagement with regional economic blocs, regional parliaments and national governments, UN agencies and CSOs across the ESA region in advancing access to sexual and reproductive health and rights and reducing discrimination against sexual and gender minorities, and ending violence against women and girls in Sub-Saharan Africa. Mr. Etyang earned his Bachelor of Law Degree (Hons.) and Master of Arts in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi. He is currently a PhD candidate in Leadership and Governance at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology
