Professor of Healthcare Evaluation Research, University of Leicester

Nicola Cooper is a Professor of Healthcare Evaluation Research at the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Leicester. Nicola’s primary research interest is in the interface and integration of medical statistics and health economics. This specifically includes methods for statistical modelling of cost data, integration of evidence synthesis within a decision-modelling context, handling of missing data in economic evaluations conducted alongside clinical trials, and the application of Bayesian statistical methods to all of the above. Nicola participates in postgraduate teaching on the MSc in Medical Statistics within the Department of Health Sciences at Leicester. She has also taught a number of short courses in evidence synthesis in decision modelling using Bayesian methods worldwide.
