Nicolas Pontes is a Lecturer in the School of Advertising Marketing and Public Relations, QUT Business School. He holds a PhD and a Master of Science in Marketing, and a Bachelor in Business Administration. He has worked as a marketing research coordinator, marketing manager, and as a pricing consultant for leading organizations in Brazil. His research interests in the area of consumer decision making, cognition, and information processing with a particular interest in price and discount framing, price and promotion displays, and product line pricing. He also has an interest in consumer judgments of new products and brand extensions. His research has been published at the European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, and his work has been presented at leading international conferences.
