Nicole Ferdinand

PhD Student, Department of Culture, Media and the Creative Industries, King's College London

Nicole Ferdinand is in the final year of her PhD. at King’s College, London, under the supervision of Ruth Adams. Before joining the programme, she worked as a consultant/trainer and event manager in her native Trinidad. Projects she has delivered include the development of an entrepreneurial training programme for cultural practitioners and the design and delivery of customer service training for trainees in the hospitality sector. She is currently a Senior Lecturer, in Events Management. Her research interests include festival and events tourism, the management and marketing of the cultural industries and events management education. She has just received a grant from the Creative Futures Funding programme of the King's Cultural Institute for her research project "Carnival Futures: Notting Hill Carnival 2020".
