Nikolai Hegertun

PhD student, Centre for Development and the Environment, University of Oslo

Nikolai is currently undertaking his PhD (set to finish in 2024) at the Centre for Development and the Environment at the University of Oslo. His academic work has centered on the changing nature of development cooperation and how the political agenda of present-day development is shaped. He currently works at the Norwegian Agency for International Development Cooperation (Norad) where he is a senior advisor in the Department for Knowledge. His work includes mapping, analysis, statistics and reports. He heads the ‘2030: Rethinking Development’ project at Norad, which looks ahead towards the next steps in development cooperation.
