Lecturer in Contemporary Media, Cardiff Metropolitan University

I joined Cardiff Metropolitan University in January 2012 and lecture on various undergraduate and postgraduate modules (levels 4-7) including: Introduction to Media Theory, Media Industries, Moving Image, Digital Cultures and New Media, and Law, Ethics and Landscape.

My doctoral thesis, from the University of South Wales (July 2016) examines the BBC and its impact upon the television drama production ecology in Wales and Scotland between the years 2003-2013. It offers original primary research that captures the voices of those working within the BBC and independent institutions to assess the ways in which they interpret, negotiate and implement key BBC policy initiatives as well as other non-policy factors related to the representation of the UK's nations and regions. The research also analyses the ways in which Wales and Scotland are represented within BBC fictional content during this period of time.
