I am the Curator of Zoological Collections and Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at Western University. I am also an expert for Smithsonian Journeys, Smithsonian Institution, USA, lecturing and nature guiding in the neotropics. I have extensive field biology experience in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru and North America. I've discovered and named 15 new insect species, and eight new insect species have been named after me by other scientists. Recent research has focused on the ecology of Onychophora (velvet worms) of Ecuador.
