Senior Lecturer, University of Waikato

I work as an interdisciplinary social scientist specialising in community/social psychology, human geography and qualitative methods. In my research, I seek to understand contemporary issues within the broader social, cultural and political contexts of people's everyday lives. Particular research interests include poverty, precarity, homelessness, health inequalities, social justice and urban sustainability. As Principal Investigator for the Māori Psychology Research Unit, I work alongside Māori and Indigenous colleagues and students to advance inclusive, relational and contextualized scholarship.
