P. Ravi Selvaganapathy

Professor, Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering, McMaster University

Dr. P. Ravi Selvaganapathy is a Professor of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at McMaster University and the Canada Research Chair in Biomicrofluidics. His research interests are in microfluidic devices and artificial organs. He has also worked on personnel protective equipment over the past 5 years. He has more than 20 years of extensive experience in micromanufacturing, microfluidics and materials development which has resulted in more than 100 journal publications and several patents. He won the Early Researchers Award in 2010 and has been named as a Rising Star in Global Health in 2012. He is the founding director of the Center of Excellence in Protective Equipment and Materials (CEPEM) at McMaster which is leading the effort to support the newly emerging Canadian manufacturing industry in personnel protective equipment.
