Paige Gleeson is a PhD Candidate in History at the University of Tasmania, researching the histories of museums, material collection, visual culture, and colonial governance in the Australia-Pacific. Paige was a recipient of the Australian Historical Association Copyright Agency Travel and Writing Bursary 2020, a National Library of Australia Carol Mills Summer Scholarship 2019, and winner of the Van Diemen’s History Prize 2018-19. Paige’s most recent publications include ‘The Fantasy of the Past: Women’s History at the Cascades Female Factory’, Van Diemen Anthology (2019); and ‘Memories and Moonbirds: Trauma and Photography in Aboriginal Tasmania’, Tasmanian Historical Studies (2017).
