Paloma E. Villegas

My research focuses on migration and social inequality. I focus on precarious status migrants and their experiences in work, health care, education, the immigration system, as well as their knowledge of Indigenous histories. I have also written on the relationships between migration and settler colonialism. My book, North of el Norte: Illegalized Mexican Migrants in Canada was published by UBC press in 2020.
