Dr Pamela Leong is a registered Dental Practitioner, holding qualifications in both Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene and has worked in a range of general and specialist practices. She has a Masters Degree in Rural Health and completed a Doctor of Philosophy in 2013 investigating predictors for infant oral health.
Pam is an investigator and coordinator of a longitudinal study of twins investigating the links between oral health, heart health and gut health. Pam’s research interest is the relationship between oral health, systemic health and the potential to predict and manage risk of disease during the life course
Pam has a number of dental and oral health publications and has presented on her work both nationally and internationally. She holds an Honorary Fellow Position in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne.
