Researcher, Sentinel North, Université Laval

I am a plant ecologist with an undeniable passion for the North. I hold a Ph. D. in biology, where I focused on recent changes in plant communities in Nunavik (Canada). During my postdoctoral fellowship within the Canada Research Chair in Northern Biodiversity, I combined my interests in climate change science, biodiversity, conservation, modeling, and landscape ecology to develop tools to assist in the planning of protected areas in Nunavik. I am now working for Sentinel North, where I oversee the knowledge mobilization strategy. Working in the field of northern research for over 15 years, I led numerous scientific outreach projects, including peer-reviewed papers, expert opinions, science briefs, audio-visual materials for youth across Canada, and numerous oral presentations.
