Patricia H Strachan

Patricia Strachan is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She is a Registered Nurse who has served on international, national, provincial and local initiatives to improve communication for patients living with advanced illness. Her research and scholarship focuses on communication issues related to the integration of a palliative approach to life-limiting illness. This includes developing, supporting and optimizing nurses’ capacity for meaningful conversations in challenging contexts.
