Associate Professor, Biology, Ecology and Conservation, St. George's University

Dr. Patricia Rosa is the Deputy Chair of the Department of Biology, Ecology and Conservation at St. George’s University, Grenada, West Indies. She is also the Director of the Marine, Wildlife and Conservation Biology Honors program which is international accredited by the Royal Society of Biology. Her fields of expertise include avian ecology, animal behavior and communication, habitat conservation and management, and ecological quantitative analyses. Dr. Rosa received her Ph.D. from the Natural Resources Institute at the University of Manitoba, Canada in 2019. She completed a M.Sc. in Biology (Animal Behavior) and a B.Sc. in Biology (Animal Physiology) in the Department of Biological Sciences at University of Montreal, Canada. Current projects investigate effects of traffic noise on bird vocalizations and community composition and impacts of human disturbances on suitability of mangrove habitats for migratory birds in Grenada. She is also continuing her work on assessing effects of oil and gas development on grassland songbirds in Canada. When developing projects, Dr. Rosa strives to adopt an inter-disciplinary approach and include several stakeholders from academia, NGOs, government, and industry.
