Dr Patrycja Strycharczuk is Lecturer in Linguistics and Quantitative Methods at the University of Manchester. She specialises in speech production (how we make sounds), variation in speech (what makes different people sound differently) and change (how we get from saying things one way to saying them another way). She has investigated these issues in various languages, including English, Polish, Dutch, Spanish, Catalan and Portuguese. She also has an interest in quantitative methods and data-driven approaches to studying language and speech.
