Paul Currie is a Senior Professional Officer in Urban Systems at ICLEI Africa. He is a researcher of African urban resource and service systems, with interest in connecting quantitative analysis with storytelling and visual elicitation. His PhD research focuses on differential resource use in the city of Cape Town. His research and facilitation with ICLEI Africa aim to further understand urban metabolism, food systems and circular development in African contexts. His projects relate to themes of food systems governance, nature based solutions and food-water-energy nexus. Paul is also affiliated to Stellenbosch University.
