Paul is a Barrister, Solicitor and a Senior Lecturer in Healthcare Law and Ethics at Swansea University where he lectures in the field of healthcare law and medical ethics to clinical and healthcare professionals.

Prior to taking up a lecturing role at Swansea University he had previously held a leadership post as a partner in a litigation focused law practise where he led in all aspects of contentious Divorce & couples break ups , children law matters and litigation. He has advised both organisations and individuals in many fields of contentious law.

Paul has a Masters degree in Legal Aspects of Medical Practice.

He has presented his research at conferences in the field of medical law , this includes the UNESCO World Bioethics Conference in Jerusalem.

His interests include human rights, consent law, patient rights and autonomy, end of life pathways and equality and diversity issues.
