Dr. Paolo R. Cerotti, has had a long and distinguished career in teaching and learning. Prior to coming to RMIT Paolo has had extensive industry experience in retail and hospitality both in Australia and in Italy, working at Giorgio Armani, Sotheby's, Bvlgari Georges of Collins Street He is currently the Director of the Master of Commerce, a position that he has held for the past 10 years. Paolo is passionate about globalization and has devoted the last 18 years to developing award winning global programs for students to travel and study to varied locations such as USA, China, Canada, South Korea and Vietnam. In 2009 Paolo won the prestigious national award from the Minister of Education Julie Bishop, " For the development of sustainable study tours offering unique learning opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students that address internationalisation of the learning experience". In 2010, Paolo was awarded the Vice Chancellor's Award for Internationalisation in Excellent Teaching. Over the years numerous other awards have followed both at home and abroad. His current role as the Director of the Global Study Tours affords Paolo a great lens into looking at global educational trends in many countries.
Paolo is has lived in Italy, Australia, USA and parts of Asia. Over the years Paolo was responsible for marketing RMIT and the College of Business programs across South and North Asia. Paolo is fluent in Italian having completed his primary education in Italy and continuing Italian language studies at the University of Melbourne.
Paolo studied Renaissance History and Italian in his bachelor’s degree and has completed a Master of Business IT, Master of International Education and a Doctorate.
