Social Researcher, Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, University of Tasmania

Pauline Marsh is an interdisciplinary, health geographer. Her interest is in wellbeing and quality of life; and her work explores the creation of health-enabling environments for people and communities. Much of this work concerns the intersections between age, dementia, mental ill health, disability, death and grief with the environment around us. Pauline’s focus is on improving outcomes for people living in areas of social and environmental disadvantage outside of major cities who face multiple barriers to good health. Her research expertise is in qualitative, creative and participatory methods, utilising community gardens, conservation sites and other outdoor, green spaces.
