Pavithra Siriwardhane

Lecturer in Accounting, RMIT University

Pavithra is a lecturer and course coordinator in the School of Accounting, Information Systems and Supply Chain, RMIT University. She is qualified accountant by profession and has been employed in tertiary education since 2001. Pavithra’s current research interests are focused on social accounting, accountability in diverse settings, human rights measures, gender and diversity in professions, accounting education and business ethics. She had received many internal and external research grants. Pavithra has taught across a range of financial accounting courses and has had the honour of receiving multiple teaching excellence awards. Her creative approaches to the teaching and assessment of Accounting through material from popular culture, photography project and sustainable development goals have been highly commended.
