Pedro Cantisano

I was trained as both a lawyer and a historian. I hold a law degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, a Masters of Law from the University of Michigan Law School, and an MA and PhD in History from the University of Michigan. My scholarship focuses on the intersections between law and history in Latin America, and more specifically my home country Brazil. I have taught at FGV Law School in Rio de Janeiro and at Kenyon College, in Ohio. Since August 2020, I have been an Assistant Professor of History at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where I am also affiliated with the Goldstein Center for Human Rights and the Office of Latino/Latin American Studies.
