Dr. Penney Clark is a Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy and serves as Deputy Head. She is co-editor of the journal Historical Studies in Education/Revue d'histoire de l'éducation and former director of The History Education Network/Histoire et Éducation en Réseau (THEN/HiER). She has published widely in the areas of the historical development of history and social studies curricula in Canada, history teaching and learning, and the historical production and provision of elementary-high school textbooks. Her most recent publication (with Alan Sears) is The Arts and the Teaching of History: Historical F(r)ictions (Palgrave Macmillan, 2020) (297 pp).
