I am a climate and data scientist (climate data scientist?) at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and an associate project scientist at the UCLA Joint Institute for Regional Earth System Science and Engineering (JIFRESSE).
In articles that I write, such as those for The Conversation, I am required to state that I am speaking on my own behalf and not on behalf of NASA.
I currently focus on using remote sensing and climate models to study how ecosystems and species will be impacted by global heating in the near future.
I have a PhD in physics from Columbia University and a BA in physics from Harvard.
