Peter Kimani is an internationally acclaimed Kenyan author, journalist and editor. An interdisciplinary scholar, his research cuts across four main areas: journalism, creative writing, African literature, and postcolonial studies. Dr Kimani has published four books—including Dance of the Jakaranda, a New York Times Notable Book of 2017. He has taught at Amherst College, Duke University and the University of Houston. He’s Professor of Practice at Aga Khan University’s Graduate School of Media and Communications, and a Research Associate at University of Witswatersrand’s Creative Writing Programme and Centre for Journalism.
