Philippa Specker

Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Refugee Trauma and Recovery Program, School of Psychology, UNSW Sydney

Philippa Specker is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Refugee Trauma and Recovery Program (RTRP), in the School of Psychology at the University of New South Wales. Philippa is also a recipient of the MQ Transforming Mental Health Postdoctoral Research Scholarship. She conducts research investigating the mechanisms underlying refugee mental health and service delivery for refugee clients, with the ultimate goal of informing policy and clinical interventions for refugees. Philippa is also a Clinical Psychologist and specialises in providing evidence-based culturally sensitive therapies to refugees and asylum-seekers suffering from trauma-related mental illnesses.
