Prince Agwu holds academic positions at the University of Dundee and University of Nigeria and is a Guest Lecturer at the University of Oxford. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the Health Policy Research Group, University of Nigeria. Prince holds a First Class in Social Work from the University of Nigeria, and a Masters in Social Policy and Social Work from the same university. Also, he holds a PhD in Social Policy and is a Commonwealth Alumnus of the University of Dundee, United Kingdom. His research niche is in Social Policy, focusing on Health Systems, Migration, and Education. He is an Associate Editor of Health Research Policy and Systems, and the first African Section Editor of Social Work and Social Sciences Review. He is also an Academic Editor with PLoS ONE. Prince reviews academic articles for several journals such as the Lancet Global Health, International Social Work, International Journal of Public Health, British Journal of Social Work, BMJ Global Health, Health Services Insight, etc. Prince assesses grant applications for the Medical Research Foundation and serves as a Columnist for the Business AM News and Modern Ghana. He has worked remarkably in health sector corruption, urban health, health system policy, primary healthcare system, migration/human trafficking, social care/justice in health, and ethics in education. He leads and participates in several donor-funded studies by FCDO, SOAS-ACE, Gates Foundation, US Department of State, Medical Research Council, etc. He is the communication focal person for the Africa Health Observatory Platform, Nigeria's National Centre. Prince has published remarkably in refereed journals and is currently listed among the top-500 scholars in Nigeria by Sci-Val.
