Prue is a journalist, editor, non-profit news executive and professor. Her reporting and commentary from more than 20 countries have appeared in the Washington Post, the Financial Times, The Guardian, Foreign Policy and the BBC. Prue reported from the Twin Towers in New York during the 9/11 attacks. She co-founded New Narratives, an NGO supporting independent news organizations in low income countries. Prue was Visiting Associate Professor and Director of International Reporting at the Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York and headed BBC crisis health programming during the West Africa Ebola crisis. Prue started her career as a cadet in the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and later with the Financial Times.
