Racky Balde

Racky Balde is an affiliated researcher at UNU-MERIT, Netherlands. She holds a PhD in economics from Maastricht University, Netherlands. Her research topics encompass labour economics, informality and firms’ productivity. She evaluated in her doctoral thesis the impact of different approaches towards the informal economy. She worked as a consultant for the African Development Bank, the World Bank, and the World Food Program.
